Diane Mills, MS, BSN, RN- Vice-Chair

Having grown up as a ward of the state in Georgia, Diane knows first hand the need for resources targeted at a specific population and her own mother is a 25 year survivor of breast cancer. Diane's passion for service led her to the medical field where she has gathered 16 years of hands on patient care experience in a variety of settings.

As a two time graduate of Valparaiso University (BSN, MS in Healthcare Administration), Diane is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.; the American College of Healthcare Executives and is committed to the health and wellness for all.

Christy S. Hall - Secretary

An Atlanta Native, and graduate of Benjamin E. Mays High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Georgia State University, and she is currently attending the University of Phoenix in pursuit of a MBA with a concentration in Human Resources.

Christy has been a part of the Conyers Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). and is currently a member of The National Association of Professional Women. She has a passion for organizations that support research for cures for diseases in women and children.  

Tami Wells Thomas, Esq.- Legal Chair

Tami Wells Thomas is a native of Decatur, Ga. and a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law. She continuously works to empower the community, and has served as a mentor in various volunteer settings including the Sister2Sister Project as well as teenage mother mentoring programs with Wesley Chapel Church.

She is currently involved in community outreach, including the Bankruptcy Attorney Practitioners Program at Georgia State University College of Law, a professor at Georgia State University Perimeter, a member of Springfield Baptist Church. She serves as chair of the Legal Committee of the Conyers/Covington Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc and is a member of the East Metro chapter of Jack and Jill of America.

Kendra Pittman Smith- Advisor

Kendra graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and minor in Sociology. She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and has worked in the Healthcare Industry for more than 25 years.

She is an active member of Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral, served on the Children’s Ministry and currently serves on the Altar Worker Ministry praying for individuals in need.

Sydney Mikel Peterson-Intern

Sydney is a graduate of Georgia State University, where she acquired her Masters in Marketing. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She embraces her public relations and marketing skills by developing innovative press materials and campaigns, along with social media strategies.
